All the stuff I want to show you

GPATS.org: Design / Development
GPATS needed to replace an outdated web portal on the county website, in order to interact with the community, involve more people, and just overall be more effecient. Hooking into the Google Maps API to integrate their existing map files, I created a mobile-friendly site with room to grow.

York County BDSN: Design / Development
Working with Mary Poole from York County BDSN was a joy and a pleasure. York County BDSN needed a refresh to their previous website, a portal to reach out to the challenged community in York County, and a central place to communicate with their employees. Using a few plugins, including a calendar and the Wordpress Members plugin, I built a mobile-friendly site with an employee portal, a blog, and custom options.

Family Crest Music: Design / Development
By discovering the needs of this band, I was able to create a website that just fit them to a T. Built on the Wordpress core, I used a few custom post types, with a few plug-ins (Shadowbox, anyone?) to build the base of this site.

Bible in a Year: Design / Development
This is a personal project I completed to encourage myself to be more consistant at reading the Bible. I used the NETbible API to create a database of scripture passages, organized by week and day. Then I wrote a PHP script that displays the passage based on the day. I formatted it in a style that is easier to read and more focused than most online scripture services.

Footloose Upstate: Development Collaboration
Being an eager young learner, I asked Jason Zwolak for pointers on where to go and what to do next — and he suggested collaborating on a project we are both passionate about: dancing. Together we created Footloose Upstate, an event listing for social dances in the South Carolina Upstate area. Jason created the basic PHP programming logic of the site, and gave me instructions and pointed me towards online resources to help flesh it out. I am completely responsible for design, content, and upkeep, and have continued to updated the code as I learn more.

Wedding: Graphic Design
Rather than order wedding invitations from a store, I decided to use the tools on hand and design my own invitations & programs. I wanted to create something beautiful with a little bit of whimsy, that represented our personalities well. Everything was designed in Gimp; the fonts are Philosopher by Erico Lebedenco and Freebooter Script by Apostrophic Lab.
Like what you see?
You still might want to think about this a little more.
